SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical is a vibrant and colorful production that brings the beloved characters of Bikini Bottom to life on stage. With a story of friendship, resilience, and community, SpongeBob and his friends face the challenge of saving their underwater home from impending disaster. Featuring original songs by a variety of popular artists, this musical is a celebration of creativity and optimism.

For Spongebob, we wanted to remain faithful to the oddity and playfulness of the show, and we wanted to make it a truly enjoyable experience for the children of the Muncie area. We didn't shy away from bright colors, animation styles inspired by the cartoon, and generally just having fun with it. A lot of our design decisions were guided by what felt right, similar in the way that kids might use what they can find at home to play act their favorite cartoons. This inviting sense of play is what guided our production.
