Intertextuality, Noun

in·ter·tex·tu·al·i·ty | \ ˌin-tər-ˌteks-chə-ˈwa-lə-tē
The complex interrelationship between a text and other texts taken as basic to the creation or interpretation of the text ~ Merriam-Webster

Intertextuality is an examination of where culture originates to where it stands now. The homes people leave behind, the culture they take with them, and what it means for the new lands they co-inhabit.

For this number, XY, imagery of the Helix Nebula was processed, creating a vibrant, dynamic galaxy that shifted and pulsed in response to the music.

This was accomplished by setting Isadora to listen for specific bass frequencies to modify the imagery, giving it a sense of feeling as opposed to just timing.
